The following steps will show you how to submit an application to the P&C marketing department in Woodbury. Before you can start this process, you must have already created an opportunity.
Step 1: Complete the Application
In order to start the application, you must click on either the Large Lines App button or theSelect App button from within the opportunity.
This will open up the corresponding application. Fill it out to the best of your ability. ClickNext Page at the bottom of each page to get to the next section. When you complete the last page, click the button that says Review Submission. This will allow you to see the complete application before you submit.
If the application is complete, click Confirm. This will automatically attach the application to the opportunity–both in the Chatter feed and the Attachments section.
If you didn’t include the attachments in the application (such as policies and loss runs), you can attach them to the opportunity through Chatter or the Attachment section. If the files are too large, you can also email them to marketing.
Step 2: Add Products
If you haven’t already added the policy lines, you must do that now. Click on Select Product(s) under the Products section. You will see the following form.
Choose the type of the first product and enter the ex-date, premium and estimated commission rate to the best of your ability. To add additional policies, click Add another.
Once you have added each line click Save. You can always go back to this screen to add additional lines. You can also click Edit next to any of the products added if you want to add more detail or make changes.
The Total Revenue for this opportunity will automatically be updated with the total commission calculated from all policies combined.
Step 3: Submit to Marketing
Once the first 2 steps are complete, you must still hit the Submit for Approval button on the opportunity. This will send all of the necessary details to Rick Struzzieri and Marguerite for Select Business.
You will be notified if the submission is accepted or rejected or if more information is needed to process it. After submitting, the opportunity will be locked from editing until it is accepted or rejected.
Once approved, an Marketer will be assigned and added to the Sales Team.
