Children’s Tumor Foundation

By Community Service

Anthony Demott who is a big part of the SterlingRisk Family and Banana Brigade (yellow team) is running an Ironman Triathlon yes, I said a triathlon) to raise funds for Dakota Anderson who is one of many suffers from neurofibromatosis – a rare incurable tumor disease. It affects millions worldwide. In addition – Tony is dedicating the race to his daughter who was tragically killed by a vehicle back in 2002.

We are looking to raise as much money as possible for Tony by 10/29. Sterling has offered to match whatever we can raise.

Let’s get behind Tony and open our pockets for a great cause.

Soles for Souls

By Community Service

GIVE BACK! As you are aware, we are doing 50/50 Raffles and donation boxes have been set up for gently used shoes. Please help us support Soles 4 Souls. They are a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty. The organization advances its anti-poverty mission by collecting new and used shoes from people like you and distributing those shoes to people in need. Your gently used shoe donation could end up in an orphanage, homeless shelter, domestic abuse shelter, an inner city hospital or the Appalachia Mountain Region. They also create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Soles4Souls is committed to the highest standards of operating and governance, and holds a four-star rating with Charity Navigator. Your money and donation go where they are needed! Check out Soles4souls.org to learn more. Types of shoes requested: Athletic, dress, sandals, work boots, pumps, heels, dance, flip flops.”Soles 4 Souls

SmileTrain

By Community Service

This summer, the GREEN Team raised $500 for the SmileTrain mission. Read the Thank You Letter from SmileTrain from our donation.

“I am delighted to acknowledge your gift to Smile Train and your generous support of our mission and vision that every child born with a cleft – anywhere in the world – has the opportunity to live a full, productive life.

In just 15 years, Smile Train has grown to become the world’s largest cleft charity because of the support we receive from donors like you, enabling us to provide more than 128,000 cleft surgeries per year.

We hope to set a new record in 2014, and we promise to put your gift to good use by providing safe, high-quality and free cleft care to children who are desperate for the hope we provide.

Friends like you are truly changing the world for the boys and girls whose families are too poor to afford lifesaving and life-changing surgical cleft repair. Thanks to you, these children are receiving new smiles and second chances at life.

We wish you could be there to see the children smile for the first time in their lives it would warm your heart and reaffirm the importance of reaching out to children. Instead, we will send you a photo in a few months of a child who was helped by your generosity so you can see the permanent difference you’ve made in his or her life.

From our staff here at Smile Train, many thanks!”

SterlingRisk fundraisers collected money through creative events such as Chinese Auctions, Weekly Cake Sales, Lotto Ticket Raffles, Candy Guesses, 50/50 Raffles, and March Madness. Funds were also raised offsite by spreading the word of our efforts for this cause. Thank you to all our Fundraisers.

MANY employees participated to help us reach our $10k goal that we surpassed with flying colors. We exceeded last year’s total of $7,555.00. Thank you to all our SterlingRisk participants.

Together as a whole we raised $8,808.70 of which SterlingRisk match dollar for dollar for a grand total of $17,617.40.

All fundraising led to the final event which was the Walk on Sunday, April 27th at Eisenhower Park. MANY showed up alongside family and friends to show their support for the March for Babies cause. Thank you to all our walkers!
