Blue Team Step-A-Thon RESULTS

By Blue Team, Values

From the desk of Larry Rowe…

The final step counts have been returned from our auditors, Ernst & Young. The results have been hermetically sealed in a #2 mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnall’s back porch since noon today. And the step-a-thon winner is the GREEN TEAM. Congratulations on a job well done. The prize for those who participated on the GREEN TEAM will be distributed by Sebally.

By Blue Team, Values

I hope you all enjoyed The True Blue team’s event. I’ve gotten much positive feedback from all of you and we all appreciate you all taking the time out to participate and make this event awesome! Unfortunately we were not able to get the satellite offices involved as much as we would have liked but don’t fret! We are sending you all at the outer offices care packages and are welcome to join in our coming weeklong event!

As Larry has mentioned prior the blue team is launching a weeklong event in order to raise health awareness.

You are encouraged to wear or install (on your smartphone) a pedometer and monitor your steps for this week.

Wear your chosen device as you travel/work/exercise and by the end of next week on Friday 8/29/14 please submit all your individual numbers to Larry Rowe. The numbers will be tallied up and the participating team members with the most steps will win a – to be announced prize! So get out there and get stepping!

The Blue team proudly announces our Event!
Save the Date: August 21!

SPIN THIS!
We will be rolling out the new Sterling Intranet which will eventually replace SPIN. We heard you about what you would like to see and experience on the Intranet. We received fabulous suggestions for the new name. There will be more news to come on this front!

GIVE BACK!
As you are aware, we are doing 50/50 Raffles and donation boxes have been set up for gently used shoes.
Please help us support Soles 4 Souls. They are a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty. The organization advances its anti-poverty mission by collecting new and used shoes from people like you and distributing those shoes to people in need. Your gently used shoe donation could end up in an orphanage, homeless shelter, domestic abuse shelter, an inner city hospital or the Appalachia Mountain Region. They also create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Soles4Souls is committed to the highest standards of operating and governance, and holds a four-star rating with Charity Navigator. Your money and donation go where they are needed! Check out Soles4souls.org to learn more. Types of shoes requested: Athletic, dress, sandals, work boots, pumps, heels, dance, flip flops.

GET SOME AIR
We will be hosting a walk-a-thon on August 21st where you will participate with your respective team in a short walk around the building. There will be gifts and refreshments, so don’t miss it!
