Join the Red Bulls for an Oktoberfest Celebration

By Red Team, Values

The SterlingRisk Red Bulls Invite you to celebrate Oktoberfest!

The Red Team will kick off the month of October with a celebration of Oktoberfest! For those who may not be familiar, Oktoberfest is the world’s largest funfair held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is a 16-day festival running from late September to the first weekend in October with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. The Red Team is going to “tap” into the excitement of this event and kick off the Red Team’s month-wide celebration by serving food of Bavarian proportions tomorrow, October 1st.

Please join us tomorrow in the small conference room at 12:30 for a small Oktoberfest celebration. Make sure to bring your appetite!

The Red Bulls are Taking Over in October!

By Red Team, Values

The SterlingRisk Red Bulls have an exciting month lined up for everyone.

Breast Cancer Awareness

As many of you may not know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. The Red Team and SterlingRisk will do our part to acknowledge this important event and really make a difference! Please look out for our activities including a bake sale and Chinese Auction. All proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation. October will be a pink month with fund raising going on the entire month and our special event to be held on Friday 10/10. And remember guys, it takes a real man to wear pink so let’s see your support by participating in our sea of pink day.

Costume Party & Contest

Everyone knows that October brings a chill in the air with the coming of fall and a chill to the spine with the celebration of Halloween! Please join the Red Team as we enjoy this holiday with several events including a costume contest, party, scavenger hunt, “50/50” raffle and the chance to donate new and gently used costumes to benefit underprivileged children on Long Island. Collection of costumes will be from Oct. 1st – 17th. The 50/50 raffle will run every Friday in the month of October.

Blood Drive

The American Red Cross notes that every two seconds someone receives a unit of blood. Did you know that one pint of blood can save up to 3 lives because blood can be divided into different components? The need is constant and it is their mission to meet that need. The Red Team is proud to assist this dedicated, worldwide organization to help fulfill their goals and will be conducting a blood drive on 10/27. Please be sure and give all you can.

Habitat for Humanity

By now, you have seen Donna Raab’s emails about the Red Team’s Habitat for Humanity initiative. For those of you who don’t know about it, Habitat for Humanity believes that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. More than building homes, they build communities, hope and the opportunity for families to help themselves.

SterlingRisk will help families break the cycle of poverty and build long-term financial security. With an affordable, stable home, families have more to spend on food, medicine, child care, education and other essentials.

The Red Team is running two events on 10/11 and 10/18. Teams are now at full capacity and our Build Team Captains will be reaching out to their team members. Those that are participating will be invited to join a Pizza Lunch with Michael Pfeiffer who will explain the build.

Oktoberfest

Last but certainly not least, the Red Team will kick off the month of October with a celebration of Oktoberfest! For those who may not be familiar, Oktoberfest is the world’s largest funfair held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is a 16-day festival running from late September to the first weekend in October with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. The Red Team is going to “tap” into the excitement of this event and kick off the Red Team’s month-wide celebration by serving food and beverages of Bavarian proportions on 10/1. Bring your appetite!

The SterlingRisk Red Bulls look forward to providing everyone with a fun and entertaining month that the entire organization can enjoy!
