By Blue Team, Values

The Blue team proudly announces our Event!
Save the Date: August 21!

SPIN THIS!
We will be rolling out the new Sterling Intranet which will eventually replace SPIN. We heard you about what you would like to see and experience on the Intranet. We received fabulous suggestions for the new name. There will be more news to come on this front!

GIVE BACK!
As you are aware, we are doing 50/50 Raffles and donation boxes have been set up for gently used shoes.
Please help us support Soles 4 Souls. They are a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty. The organization advances its anti-poverty mission by collecting new and used shoes from people like you and distributing those shoes to people in need. Your gently used shoe donation could end up in an orphanage, homeless shelter, domestic abuse shelter, an inner city hospital or the Appalachia Mountain Region. They also create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Soles4Souls is committed to the highest standards of operating and governance, and holds a four-star rating with Charity Navigator. Your money and donation go where they are needed! Check out Soles4souls.org to learn more. Types of shoes requested: Athletic, dress, sandals, work boots, pumps, heels, dance, flip flops.

GET SOME AIR
We will be hosting a walk-a-thon on August 21st where you will participate with your respective team in a short walk around the building. There will be gifts and refreshments, so don’t miss it!

Walk the GREEN Carpet Event

By Green Team, Values

On July 17, the GREEN team held their Walk the GREEN Carpet event. The day-long event included professional head shots, refreshments, fun photos as well as team photos.

The goal of the GREEN team event was to challenge the status quo by leading with new, bold ideas and champion new ways to create a fun environment. The professional headshots will only be used internally in the Outlook Contact book.

Employees are encouraged to utilize their photos for social media, Salesforce Chatter, and LinkedIn. These photos will be sent to you through email in the next week.

The GREEN team also held a 50/50 raffle with proceeds towards the SmileTrain organization.  Every year more than 170,000 children are born with cleft lip or palate. Most can’t afford surgery. The GREEN team was able to raise a total of $500, which is able to change the lives of 2 children!

Some of the GREEN team members highlighted how the team utilized all five values for this event:

Integrity – Everyone dressed the part and arrived at the photo studio for their pictures. ~ Dan Silver
Collaboration – The team worked together to make sure all logistics were taken care of throughout the day.
Care & Respect – The team showed care and respect for their team and their co-workers to make the day fun. ~ Jennie Racanelli
Innovation – The event championed new ways to create a fun environment. ~ Grace Colquhoun
Excellence – The event went smoothly. And when a problem arose, such as the rain, back-up plans were in place and the photo shoot carried on.
~ Dan Silver

The team went above and beyond by taking personal time to shop, set up and break down the props, food and set up. ~ Jennie Racanelli
The Green team also prepared care packages for the remote offices so they could share in the festivities of the day.
