Experience Modifications are applied to a Workers Compensation Policy:

When:

  • The payroll or other exposure reported during the last year or two years of the experience period produced a premium at manual or authorized rates of at least $10,000, or
  • The payrolls or other exposures developed during the experience period of more than two years produced an average annual premium at manual or authorized rates of at least $5,000.

 

We must obtain, annually, on every client that qualifies, the current experience modification.

Copies of the modification worksheet must be ordered from the carrier as part of the renewal process

Experience Rating Requests

 

NCCI

There is a cost to view a mod as well as a separate cost to view an experience rating sheet.   YOU MAY VIEW A MOD OF ANYONE.  In order to view an Experience Rating worksheet you must have obtained a letter of authorization, or Sterling must be the producer listed on the declarations page of the policy.   All requests must go to Dennis Sturtz.  He will obtain the mod or experience rating and forward it to you.

ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN EXPERIENCE RATING WITHOUT BEING THE LISTED PRODUCER ON THE POLICY OR WITHOUT A LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION WILL BAN STERLING FROM THE NCCI SITE.

There is a charge for each year.  Similar to NCCI it will be billed to Sterling.

*If we are not the broker you will need a Letter of Authorization from client.  This letter should include the Client Name and Board #.  In the letter you can request that the sheets are e-mailed back to you.  This will speed up the process.

We must be the broker or include a letter of authorization.  There is a $5.00 charge for each year requested.  A check MUST be included with the request.  The rating sheets will be delivered by mail only.
